The first 8 ponies qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not
pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round. There will be dual qualification of double
clears for the Pony British Novice first round.

Discovery: For registered ponies in Grades JD and JC that have not won a total of 300 Points to be ridden
by Junior Members, ages as per Rule 77.12/77.13.
Qualifies for: Pony Discovery Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify for: Those ponies which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear
round in the jump-off in at least four Pony Discovery First Round competitions held in any qualifying
period will qualify to compete in a Pony Discovery Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize
money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Ponies in
the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain their double clear round qualification. The winner
of a particular Pony Discovery First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of
that competition.
90cm Open: For registered ponies, to be ridden by Junior Members.
If combined with an open:

Qualifies for: Pony Foxhunter Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to
qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off
in at least four First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Second
Round.
The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Foxhunter Section,
ridden by Junior members who have not won more than a total of 350 Points in the previous calendar year
are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship. Riders who
have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.10m
Final.
Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship to be held

Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five
years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams).
Qualifies for: 85cms National Amateur Second Rounds.

British Novice: Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with
Rule 316.6.
b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear
qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice
Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6
Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th
April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in
at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete
in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those

qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers
Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.
Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.
1.10m Open: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If a combination competes in more than two consecutive height classes per show day only the points from the bigger classes will be graded.

Class 8 - School's 1.00m League Class

Schools (Single Phase). Speed 300mpm. Start Height 1.00m.

Open to teams and individuals aged between 5 and 19 years old (the years in which the rider turns 5 and 19). In case of teams, this class cannot run as a Two Phase competition (only Table A7 and Single Phase).

Team and individual points are awarded on the following basis: 1st – 12 points, 2nd- 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 6 points, 5th – 4 points, 6th – 3 points. 3 points will be allocated to all those who achieve double clear. For a team to get double clear points at least 3 team members need to be clear in both rounds of a competition. The 3 highest team scores count.

Qualification period July to June:

Qualifies for British Showjumping National Championships. Numbers to qualify: The top 8 teams and top 10 individuals from the league tables will qualify in up to two consecutive height categories. Riders can qualify as an individual and as part of a team. Qualifications will also pass down the leagues with regards to teams and individuals that have already qualified.

Qualification period October to February:

Qualifies for Winter Championships. Numbers to qualify: All riders with points on the ‘Just for Schools’ league tables by the end of February will be invited to compete in the Winter Championship classes.
